2007 Spring Dashboard Updates! (Yup, plural…)

It’s time for an unhealthy dose of feature requests, sprinkled liberally with unreasonable expectations!  It seemed

 best that I have two lists of features, one for the 360 and one for the PS3, as they both have a similar release schedule (the oh-so-accurate "Spring") for their updates.  (I have heard rumor that the PS3 update will be in March…)

New DLC coming to Vegas

Recently I’ve been a Rainbow Six Vegas fanatic.  Interventions have been suggested, my roommate and co-editor has tried reasoning with me, bribing me, and even pulling the plug on the 360, only to find it terrifyingly still supporting my habit through the sheer electrical energy created by my lust for this game. 

Which brings us to the subject of Ubisoft’s announcement of 5 new maps, and two new game modes, as downloadable content on the xbox 360.  Actually, it’s only three new maps (which all look interesting) with Bordertown and Kill House, being “Re-lit.”  Continue reading

PS3 Background Downloading Is Upon Us

Market peer pressure is a healthy thing for consumers.  It keeps those nasty corporations in check from delivering us piles of crap upon which we dump our discretionary income.  (As blind as The Light of Microsoft has made me, I’m sure the REASON we have such a solid console is because that big corporation needs to wear its Sunday Best to the church it just started visiting).

You mean there’s more?

If you haven’t taken a few moments to download the Crackdown demo (or the resulting hours that are whisked away by playing it over and over), you are missing out on a taste of one of the more enjoyable sandbox games I’ve had the pleasure of misbehaving in.  Say what you will about the graphical stylings (which are still more impressive, both in effect and scope, than any other sandbox game released), this is a damned fun game.
