Review: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

I recently finished Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and I am officially going on record as saying this is a great game, and one that Star Wars fans in particular have no business missing.  I had a wonderful time visiting some wonderful Star Wars set pieces, positively terrifying my opponents with mind-numbing force powers, and exploring some of the (extremely) light RPG elements as you develop your light-saber-wielding fiend of power.

Zero Point Achievement Titles FTL!

xbox_blogI’ll keep this one short but sweet; John Schappert and the rest of the Xbox team bringing us the New Xbox Experience have heard the legions of fans crying out for a way to remove zero point achievement titles.  I’ve never been too offended by having my play history showing up, although having demos/trials in my play history is sort of silly.  Hop on over to Joystiq and listen to their interview with John Schappert where he tells us that we have been heard!

Some real NXE info for a change!

Our brother in the faith, Jake (of 8bitjoystick.com fame) copied a post from the Gamerscoreblog offered to us by a man named Leyvin from Rare (whew!).  Leyvin is apparently a technical artistfor Rare, and he (being on the team that has created the Avatars for the NXE) probably is a good source of info for the upcoming dashboard update.

Two more NXE updates

Sorry about slacking on these folks.  I experienced heavy apathy with the NXE updates when I realized they are rehashing information that everyone already knows pretty intimately (at least, everyone that cares to subscribe to such updates, I should say).  I’ll have more posted later on this week regarding some small but interesting findings after scouring for some REAL information on the NXE.  :)
