Supernatural

The future of the show is still up in the air after Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki’s contracts expire. A recent Entertainment Weekly article hinted at the show’s creator Eric Kripke pulling the plug. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that next year will be it. Five seasons. One of the steadiest performers the CW has ever had amongst more widely advertised stuff (Gossip Girl. XOXO.) And most save for the hardcore fans know it exists. Talk about quietly building a reputation while flying under the radar.

My life with the Pre

So I guess it’s a good time to throw out some initial impressions and thoughts now that I’ve had the Pre for a few days.   I’ve never owned an Iphone and I think that some of the reviews that compare the pre to the Iphone are at least slightly misleading for a few reasons. First, the Iphone is a 3 year old platform.  Many of the reviews ding the Pre for not having oodles of apps, but ignore the fact that the Iphone also didn’t have oodles of apps three years ago.  That’s as far as I’m going to go there.  If you love your Iphone, I’m happy for you.  It’s a great platform, but it is not for everybody and competition is good.

I think it’s safe to say no one expected the shakeup that occurred with the announcement of shows returning for the Fall 2009 season.

Shows barely on the bubble are returning while steady old venerable are being cast aside, even after their annual consistency of success. This is almost unheard of.

Microsoft Hates Netbooks
