Review: Chuck vs. Operation Awesome (Episode 3.4)
Posted on March 21, 2010 | No CommentsIf the last episode showed Devon Woodcomb the ups of spy life, being the hero and rekindling the passion in a by-the-numbers life, Operation Awesome shows the down side. Literally. -
Review: Chuck vs. The Angel of Death (Episode 3.3)
Posted on March 21, 2010 | No CommentsPerhaps not coincidentally on the same night new episodes for House began again on Fox, Chuck gave us a full episode where Dr. Devon Woodcomb gets the main focus, also known as his more commonly kickass nickname, Captain Awesome. -
Palm + Rhapsody should be sitting in a tree.
Posted on March 20, 2010 | No CommentsBy now, the whole internet has read tomorrow’s obituary in which Palm is valued at $0.00 by many analysts following a gruesome earnings call. There is a glut of unsold Pres and Pixis, and no hope for a new device to pull them out of... -
Dollhouse: An Epitaph
Posted on March 18, 2010 | No CommentsWell, it went out with a whimper not a bang, but you can’t say it didn’t exceed many people’s expectations while falling short of its own potential. Of course, a lot of that potential was squashed by Fox mucking around with it. Nevertheless as shows go Dollhouse will not be remembered as Joss Whedon’s most loved creations. -
Microsoft is the Old Apple / Google is the Old Microsoft
Posted on March 17, 2010 | No CommentsI shall begin my rant-tastic rant by stating two things: 1. – Thank you Engadget for being vital to this post (I shall be using liberal links to their various stories on the matter). 2. – It is impossible to be exhaustive about this topic,... -
Review: Chuck vs. The Three Words (Episode 3.2)
Posted on March 1, 2010 | No CommentsThe last episode got Chuck back in good graces externally. This episode has Chuck and Sarah struggle to find emotional equilibrium. Having the return of an old Edwina Haskell in sexy spy Carina doesn’t help matters. In other words, a pretty requisite episode of Chuck. -
Review: Chuck vs. The Pink Slip (Episode 3.1)
Posted on March 1, 2010 | No CommentsConsidering how anticipated the season three premiere was for Chuck fans, seeing their hero in less than an ideal light had to come as a shock. Certainly recent events would warrant that things would be pretty rosy for our intrepid nerd cum spy. Having an upgrade in downloadable data that includes self-defense, weapons training, and suaveness out of the James Bond playbook would pretty much make you a kick-ass asset like never before, but you have to hand it to Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak. Nothing comes easy for Chuck. Not even the stuff that endears Chuck to his fans. -
Midseason TV 2010, Pt. II: Preview Edition
Posted on January 11, 2010 | No CommentsPicking up where I left off, the three shows I am most looking forward to in the next couple months. Counting down to most anticipated. -
Midseason TV 2010
Posted on January 11, 2010 | No CommentsWell, it’s that time of year again. Yes. Reruns. We’re at the midway season in television land folks which means that we won’t have anything new on the horizon until after the ball drops–the one in New York not a metaphor for a bad omen... -
Dante’s Inferno…well, there are boobs
Posted on December 26, 2009 | No CommentsI will start this rant with a disclaimer: I really, REALLY love me some Dead Space. Visceral Games (the developer for both Dead Space and Dante’s Inferno) created a really freaky, memorable and engrossing video game experience; it really is one of my favorite games...
